I don’t like putting pineapple on my pizza. I think it’s pretty weird. I’m a little confused about why people would ever choose to do that.

But hey, it’s your pizza, obviously you can put whatever you want on it - if I’m not eating with you. In fact, if I’m not eating with you, it makes no difference to me whatsoever whether you like to put pineapple on your pizza or not.

I would be pretty horrified if it became illegal for people to put pineapple on their pizza - if a huge gang of armed and uniformed men (“police”) were not only authorized but directed to find people putting pineapple on their pizzas and lock them up in cages. Or if there were legal barriers in place that made things inconvenient specifically for people who just liked to put pineapple on their pizza.

Obviously this would be monstrously unjust. Or even if whole communities of people went around condemning people who put pineapple on their pizza - clearly that would be ridiculous, and a huge waste of their time. And it would be nice to think everyone else agreed.
